Hello! I am Potassium. That is a picture of me skating in my very first figure skating competition (and I won first place in my category!).
Fun facts about me:
- I received my biochemistry PhD in October 2014 and I completed a Science Communication certificate program in 2017.
- I move around a lot. I am currently in Washington but I’m originally from California. I’ve also lived in New Mexico and Colorado (hint: this blog was started when I was in grad school in Colorado).
- My husband Cobalt and I have a kitty named Tarantula.

Some of the cameras I will be posting pictures from:
- Nikon D750 – My DSLR. Love it. With this camera, I only shoot in Manual mode. Makes it more challenging and helps me get better at photography.
- Nikon D80 – My old DSLR. I haven’t been taking very many pictures with this guy recently, but I usually bring him along in case someone else wants to practice their photography skills
- My iPhone XS!
