All I can say is that I had a ton of fun doing my self portrait photoshoot last week. If I wasn’t as lazy, I probably would have gotten rid of the blurry door handle behind my head in Photoshop. Oh well… I’ve been SUPER busy with life so I am just happy that I have time to post anything! :)

Hey Buddy, Whacha Doin’?

Went on a walk on the trails by my house this weekend and played with my baby camera. It’s a bit frustrating actually to go from where you control all the settings even down to what the camera focuses on with the DSLR to having pretty much no control and trusting that the camera is smart enough to figure out what to focus on. I was having a lot of issues with the macro mode especially. Oh well, I guess it requires more playing…
Anyway, I thought this picture was kind of neat not only because the butterfly on the flower is in awesome focus but also because of the blurry butterfly in the corner flying into the picture. He looks like he’s like “Hey friend! Wat’s goin’ on?!?!” Fun.
I eat this sushi now

Sometimes I like playing with my Bamboo Pen tablet… It is amazing. For this picture, I was trying out a free application that comes with the tablet called “Sumo Paint.” It’s roughly a free equivalent to Photoshop and is made specifically for the tablet. It has some strange quirks to it but I guess that is understandable in a free image editing program. Fun times… I hope that shark gets to eat his sushi…
Fun with Fisheye

Well until I get enough money to have fancy lenses for my DSLR, I will be content to play with the crazy modes on my little Canon Powershot. For example, the Fisheye mode can be insanely entertaining or insanely neat. This top picture is an insanely neat example taken by Cobalt. For an insanely entertaining picture, please see below (I took that one)… Hahahaha…

Black and White: What’s that you see, Russell?

Sometimes I think that I shouldn’t be allowed to have as much fun as I do with my DSLR and its remote control. This picture (and the one below) were taken out of boredom and a huge desire to take a picture of me “lurking” upstairs. So I borrowed Cobalt’s tripod and set it up crazily on the stairs and then busted out the remote control. Russell the shark came along for the ride. These pictures were kind of silly not only to pose for but just to take in general. Every few pictures, I’d stop and run down the stairs to check out my results/determine if I wanted to change any of the settings/my poses or whatever. Ha… I am so weird. Anyway, I love this picture because it is just so goofy. I feel like I am on some crazy children’s network TV show and Russell and I have to solve some sort of crazy mystery before the evil guy gets us!
On a completely different note, check out the picture below. Here, I felt like I was going to sneeze and I thought it would be funny to have a picture of me sneezing with Russell just hanging out… So here it is.

FINALLY… on a completely random note, when I typed this post’s title, I typed “Blah and White.” I hope you don’t think these pictures are blah… :(
Exploring the coral reef!

Today’s picture comes from Target! My friend Ali and I found the craziest pillow ever (shown here) and decided it looked like a coral reef. My stuffed shark Bruce looks like he’s right at home…
Portrait: 4th…

This weekend marked Cobalt’s and my four month anniversary of being engaged! Awwww cute! :D The lady who was kind enough to take this picture noticed that we were struggling to get a good portrait on our own (see last Wednesday’s post to see our failed attempt. Hahaha…). Anyway, happiness. This weekend, my friends and I went to look for bridesmaids dresses and found two that we really like! Success. Wow… I am getting excited… :)
Cell Phone Picture: Sad Face

Went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt. 2 at midnight last night! Great times! Though there was one sad thing… I didn’t get to see it with Cobalt. So today’s picture shows me being sad about that. Also, it was taken on my friend’s iPhone so that is why it looks so nice and flashy.
Creepy Clouds

We have been getting a LOT of rain here recently (wish I could send it all to Los Alamos, NM) so I snapped this picture one night. I was about to go to bed when I saw the moon all creepily obscured by clouds. It’s one of me and Cobalt’s favorite moons (the cool moon if you ask me or the “Lon Chaney” moon if you ask Cobalt…) so I had to take a picture of course. It turned out really cool if you ask me!
Black and white: Crazed Self Portrait

Sometimes Cobalt and I are weird…
